It’s been nearly two decades since 3OH!3 crashed the top of the pop charts, but their spirit remains as unflinching as ever. What started as a DIY project quickly catapulted Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte’s dorm-room demos into a cultural phenomenon, soundtracking both Warped Tour and Top 40 radio takeovers with a blend of hip-hop bravado, tongue-in-cheek chaos and hooks inspired by their hometown of Boulder, Colorado.
That legacy has only grown with time as a new wave of fans and artists continue to champion platinum-certified anthems like DONTTRUSTME, STARSTRUKK, and My First Kiss worldwide at events like Emo Nite, while Motte and Foreman bring their high-octane live show to Coachella, Reading & Leeds, and Warped Tour, where mosh pits and singalongs serve as a reminder that 3OH!3’s impact isn’t frozen in time, but constantly evolving.
Their music has never been about looking back, but always living in the moment and pushing forward in pursuit of something legendary just out of reach: the next wild weekend, the next epic story, the next inside joke you had to be there for.
Recently they brought that same genre-defying mash-up mentality to SLUSHIE, their first new music since 2021. Amid glitched-out beats, wobbly synths and synesthetic lyricism, they pay tribute to a relationship that hurts so good, the kind that freezes your brain in a way that’s inescapable and addictively euphoric. It’s a love song delivered the way only 3OH!3 could: messy, loud and wryly irreverent. Follow-up single HIT ME HARDER is an unexpected return to form for the band, who drew inspiration from the underground dance rock music they grew up with as well as today’s “indie-sleeze” scene. The result is a gritty track that would fit comfortably alongside the band’s earliest releases while still feeling fresh.

What does the expression ‘ever after’ mean? Most people will automatically assume it’s preceded by the word ‘happily’, but that isn’t necessarily the case. By calling their second full-length Ever After, Chicago’s Action/Adventure are leaning into the ambiguity of those two words. Given their history, that’s not surprising. Having played together since 2014, the band—lead vocalist Blake Evaristo, vocalist/guitarist Brompton Jackson, drummer Adrian Brown, bassist Manny Avila and guitarist Oren Trace—went viral on TikTok in 2020 with “Barricades”, a song that highlighted the obstacles the five-piece faced as an entirely BIPOC band in the pop-punk scene. It was also the band’s first TikTok video, having made their account earlier that day. In 2021, they released their first EP for Pure Noise, Pulling Focus. The next year the label issued the band’s debut album Imposter Syndrome, an accomplished set of songs that undermined the record’s title and its self-deprecating inspiration that Action/Adventure didn’t feel worthy of the attention, acclaim or success they’d been receiving.
This follow-up continues that self-aware sense of modesty. A record brimming with fresh confidence, it moves Action/Adventure even further away from that sea of self-doubt. That doesn’t, however, mean it’s an album free of trials, tribulations or anxiety. In fact, it’s full of them, and very much a reflection of the kind of existence the majority of touring bands have to endure these days—the duality of doing that while also holding down a regular job. It goes without saying that that makes everything so much harder—and it also doubled down on the (very true) cliché of the difficult second record.
“This is literally the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my entire life,” admits Jackson. “I definitely hit rock bottom. And this record acknowledges that there's a lot that goes into it. It really is hard. The industry is so different from how we thought it would be when we were kids. So an overarching theme is that duality of everyday life versus band life, and trying to make them work well together—because it's really, really easy to get lost along the way.”
Thankfully, with help from producer Alan Day (Four Year Strong, Knuckle Puck), Action/Adventure were able to get to their destination and make an album that once again defied the pressures it exerted on them.
“Four Year Strong is such a big influence on us,” says Brown, “that working with Al forced us to give these songs more of a distinct identity that broke both us and him out of our usual songwriting tendencies.” Recorded at Ghost Hit Studio in Springfield, Massachusetts, the 11 songs on Ever After form a kind of narrative that details the trials and tribulations of that journey—it opens with “DAYTERROR”, a frenetic, boisterous rush of energy that begins with a question: ‘Is this where I’m meant to be?’ and closes with “Daydream”, which comes with the admission that ‘This isn’t what I signed up for/This is not how I thought it would be.’
“This is what comes after Imposter Syndrome,” says Evaristo, “which is the reality of what we do. I feel like the idea of living your dream is always in a positive context—and it definitely is—but this record is also about the price you pay to live it. And it's fun, but we are paying prices for sure.” Still, this record is proof that all the hard work—both in terms of this album itself and the band’s career as a whole, is worth it. Just like the first record, this one very much validates their decision to continue doing this, as do the guest vocalists who appear on this album. Dan Lambton, the vocalist of rationale., is on the urgent charge of “Something Isn’t Right Here”, a song that also extends and stretches Action/Adventure’s sonic scope, Armor For Sleep’s Ben Jorgensen features on the epic and resilient “Background”, a song for which he also actually wrote the bridge, and British YouTuber/singer Noahfinnce, who appears on “Go Directly To Jail. Do Not Pass Go. Do Not Collect $200”, a song that explicitly decries the rigged system we all live in.
On the whole, both lyrically and musically, Ever After is heavier than anything Action/Adventure have made before. It’s a subtle but salient difference, and all the result of having to really work to push through the obstacles that stood in the way of making this record. “I think it's a little bit harder in every way,” says Jackson, “because the writing process was harder. But then we also picked more aggressive guitar tones because we knew we wanted it to be a little heavier and more aggressive. We wanted to lean into the things we liked about Pulling Focus and Imposter Syndrome, but also try some new things and see if they worked.” They did. And in so doing, Action/Adventure have once more turned adversity to their advantage. Ever After is an appropriate soundtrack to that central theme of the album, to the trials and tribulations that inspired it, and—most importantly—to the camaraderie and friendship, chemistry and vision that got the band through it.
“We often ask ourselves 'Is this what I should be doing? Is this, after all this time, what I want or need to be doing?'” says Jackson. “And then you come to terms with it. Because I don't really want to do any other things. This is what I want to do. Whether I like that that's what I want to do or not is another question, but we're here! And that’s where the title comes from. It’s not necessarily happily or unhappily ever after, but ‘ever after’ never ends. So the horrors of this record seem to be never-ending—they persist, but so do we!”

Broadside has never been a band to stay in one place for too long—musically or otherwise. The Richmond, Virginia-based band has spent the past decade carving out their own space in the pop rock scene. Drawing influence from The Killers, AFI, Kings of Leon, and Taking Back Sunday, their sound seamlessly fuses nostalgic rock energy with a fresh, modern edge. Their evolution has been nothing short of remarkable, taking them from underground favorites to genre staples, all while embracing the idea that growth and change are not just inevitable but necessary.
With Oliver Baxxter (vocals), Domenic Reid (guitar), and Patrick Diaz (bass/backup vocals) at the helm, Broadside has built a career on crafting music that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable. The album marked a significant milestone in their career, amassing over 100 million streams and standing as their boldest, brightest, and most ambitious work to date. Now, as they prepare to enter their next era, the band is gearing up to release their most dynamic music yet, continuing to evolve while staying true to the energy and authenticity that first captivated listeners.
With their next chapter set to unfold under the banner of Thriller Records, Broadside remains a band driven by passion, friendship, and the belief that growth is essential. More than just musicians, they are storytellers, channeling the wide-eyed excitement they once felt as kids dreaming of being in a band. Cartel didn’t come back just to look backward. After criss-crossing the globe for the 20th anniversary of their landmark album Chroma, the Conyers, Georgia-formed trio have used that momentum to light the fuse on LP5, their first album in 13 years. Written against a backdrop of both personal reckoning and global unrest, the album pairs the hook-driven songwriting the group has always been known for with sharper edges, heavier weight and a renewed sense of purpose.
After playing to hundreds of thousands of fans at Warped Tour, Slam Dunk and When We Were Young, it would have been easy for Cartel to choose comfort over disruption. Instead, they’ve done what they’ve always been best at: challenging themselves and their audience alike, armed with something important to say.

Her songs are both confessional and confrontational, balancing vulnerability and strength while offering anthems that feel both cinematic and deeply personal. She’s proven herself as an artist unafraid to peel back layers of self-doubt, empowerment, and desire, capturing the complexity of modern womanhood and the human experience. Her live shows are known for their magnetic energy, where vulnerability meets sheer chaos in the best way possible. Beyond the stage, Chandler creates with an ethos of honesty and rebellion, inviting fans to embrace both their shadows and their shine. Known for her genre-blurring sound, radical honesty, and electric live shows, Charlotte Sands has built a dedicated cult following by turning vulnerability into empowerment. Her music soundtracks the highs and lows of growing up, pairing emotional intensity with massive, singalong-ready hooks.

Led by powerhouse vocalist Cassadee Pope, Hey Monday debuted their fizzy emo-pop sound with 2008's Hold on Tight. The band formed in West Palm Beach, Florida, where Pope was first discovered at a regional music conference. Although still in high school, the singer drew attention from A&R executives with her powerful, radio-ready voice. She then formed the band with fellow teenagers Jersey Moriarty (bass), Elliot James (drums), and guitarists Mike Gentile and Alex Lipshaw.
Shedding their original name in favor of Hey Monday, the group signed with Columbia Records and entered the studio with producers S*A*M & Sluggo to record their debut album. Hold on Tight was released in October 2008 and was followed by extensive touring alongside major acts while also headlining their own shows.
After a lineup change in late 2009, the band returned to the studio and released the six-song EP Beneath It All in August 2010, further establishing Hey Monday as one of the standout names of the late-2000s pop-punk and emo-pop scene.

LØLØ’s journey started long before she became the fully formed pop rock force we now know today, gracing the stage with her hard hitting passion and tour de force performance energy. As a child rifling through her eclectic and extensive CD collection including everything from the Wizard of Oz soundtrack, to Hilary Duff, to Green Day, she learned how to play “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” and never put the guitar down from that point on. Emerging in 2018, she attracted a rabid fan base with heart-on-her-sleeve lyrics and hard-hitting melodies spiked with a pop rock spirit. She also dropped three EPs, the Sweater Collection EP [2019], overkill EP [2021], and debbie downer EP [2022]. Among various standouts, her cover of “Dancing In The Dark” (Bruce Springsteen) gathered over 29 million Spotify streams followed by “u turn me on (but u give me depression)” with north of 16 million Spotify streams. Plus, she earned the applause of OnesToWatch, Kerrang!’s Sounds of 2024, Alternative Press, 1883 Magazine, tmrw, PAPER who attested, “Full of all the anger, angst, cynicism and depression that makes a proper pop punk artist, Toronto singer-songwriter LØLØ is well on the rise” and a mention in September 2020 People Magazine "Emerging artists making their mark on the musical landscape". In 2021, she collaborated with pop punk icons Simple Plan on their Amazon Exclusive “I’m Just a Kid”. Moreover, she toured with everyone from Boys Like Girls to New Found Glory and Against The Current, and has performed at Lollapalooza, Sad Summer Festival, and Slam Dunk Festival.
LØLØ’s path to stardom in Hollywood was paved with its fair share of obstacles and jump scares. Since she arrived a few years back, the Toronto-born singer and songwriter has hit like a tornado with tens of millions of streams and widespread critical acclaim. She also just so happened to encounter a myriad of misfits, falling for (genuinely) heartless dudes.
Along the way, she crafted what would become falling for Robots and wishing I was one with producer Mike Robinson. The concept naturally presented itself. Now, she invites everyone into her mind on her 2024 full-length debut LP, falling for robots and wishing I was one [Hopeless Records].
“I feel things way too hard,” she observes. “Maybe it’s a terrible thing for relationships, but it comes in handy for songwriting. Little things that shouldn’t affect me, do. I often find myself wishing I didn’t feel things too deeply. Growing up in the world today can be very complicated. You have to worry about all of these little factors. In a sense, the album really explores what it means to be human these days.”
“I moved to L.A. post-COVID and grew up a lot along the way,” she says. “It felt like everyone I encountered had no emotions or maybe I just had too many emotions and am overly sensitive. That’s where I got the idea for falling for robots and wishing I was one.”
She initially teased the record with “omg,” “faceplant,” “2 of us”, and “hot girls in hell,” the last of which will probably tell you what you need to know of her wry, wistful songwriting style, with each new release building into a sassy, beguiling bigger picture. Her latest release “poser”, which Alternative Press called “an instant breakup anthem”, LØLØ says of the track,
"'Poser' is about someone who really got me good, who really truly made me believe they loved me, when it later became clear to me, they simply couldn't have. Being a girl who enjoys rocking from time to time, I’ve sadly gotten called a poser many times by internet bullies.”
The single “u & the tin man” not only catalyzed the process, but it also represented the album’s emotional apex. Strumming an acoustic guitar, her delivery barely cracks a whisper as she laments, “The tin man and you are exactly the same, except he’s actually looking to fill up that space in his chest.” Strings gently accent the vocals, giving way to one final distortion-boosted catharsis, “If you only had a heart, that’d be nice.”
“Even though it’s the closer, it’s actually the first song I wrote for the project,” she notes. “I was at a dinner speaking about him and heard someone call him ‘the fucking tin man’. I immediately wrote it down in my phone notes app. A few days later I picked up my guitar and wrote the whole thing on my bed. I ran down to my publisher's studio and cut a demo with just guitar and voice. Normally I would always re-record the vocals later on, and I tried, but I could never match the emotion from that day that I wrote it, so we kept them.”
An old school-style robot sample bleeds into ethereal guitar on “wish I was a robot.” Meanwhile, internal dialogue plays out in the verses, “Sometimes, I think I’m ugly. Other times, I’d love to fuck me.” Cybernetic electric guitar underlines her warbling vocals on the hook, “I wish I was a robot ‘cuz then I wouldn’t care. Could just call a mechanic when I need a repair.”
“I was going through it one day,” she sighs. “I came up with the line, ‘Sometimes living feels disgusting’. I noticed I said ‘Robot’ in ‘tin man’, and everything clicked. Those songs really tie this body of work together.”
A frenetic electronic beat powers up “Kill The Girl” as a manic chorus takes hold punctuated by a groove-laden riff.
“It’s a cool approach to write a song about yourself from an outside perspective,” she goes on. “It’s about loving someone who isn’t quite on the same level of emotion you are. In real life, I wish I didn’t feel so strongly. I want to kill this dumb girl who does. It was the last song I wrote about this one person, and I did kill that girl and grow afterwards,” she smiles.
Ultimately, LØLØ allows everybody to look behind the curtain on falling for robots and wishing I was one as 2024 promises to be the year of LØLØ as she was aptly named in Kerrang!’s Sounds of 2024.
Upon listening, you might find she’s not so different from you…
“I’m just a girl trying the best I can to be human,” she leaves off. “I create music to let out my feelings and to let others know they’re not alone. Whether you’re crying to a song on the record, or jumping around and screaming, just know we’re all in this together.”

Luci is an LGBTQIA+ artist who defies easy categorization. After years in the bass world, she found her home by creating SLUTBASS — an experimental bass + hyperpop project that’s flirty, bratty, and loud club music made to make the crowd jump, move, and feel hot as f*ck! Built on heavy drops, playful vocals, distorted pop hooks, and nasty basslines, her high-energy sets are pure slutty club-rat chaos. This isn’t an era. Cunt is here to stay.

Founded in 2018 by Cody Okonski, Millington began as a recording project with the mission of bringing a modern sheen to a genre (Ska/Rock-With Horns/Horn-Fueled Pop-Punk) that was largely left behind by big budget labels. With the success of Millington’s early releases such as Cold In The City and University, it became time to put together a live band. After a handful of shows however, the pandemic hit.
During the pandemic, while live performances halted, the band continued to work on producing new music. 2020 saw the release of their latest EP, Beatdown Generation, as well as a cover album titled Brass Emo Vol. 1.
As live shows returned, the band made it’s comeback to the stage play its first show back at NYC’s Governors Ball festival 2022, and has hit the ground running ever since. With its signature, self-proclaimed “Brass Emo” sound, the 6 member, horn section charged band brings high energy performances to both studio recordings and the live shows.

Formed in Coral Springs, Florida, in 1997, New Found Glory has spent nearly three decades cementing its place as one of pop-punk's defining bands. As they approach their 30th anniversary, the quartet of Jordan Pundik, Chad Gilbert, Ian Grushka, and Cyrus Bolooki continues to evolve while staying true to the melodic, energetic sound that launched them into the mainstream in the early 2000s.
Their 11th studio album, Listen Up!, reflects themes of resilience, gratitude, and perseverance, shaped in part by Chad Gilbert's ongoing battle with metastatic cancer and the band's shared life experiences. Building on the heartfelt spirit of their 2023 acoustic EP Make The Most Of It, the album delivers New Found Glory's signature pop-punk while reinforcing their longtime mission: to inspire new generations of artists and create music that helps listeners find strength, courage, and joy.

Based in Nashville, Winona Fighter—frontwoman and multi-instrumentalist Coco Kinnon, lead guitarist Dan Fuson and bassist/producer Austin Luther—formed after Coco moved there from Boston, and made a strong impression with their 2022 debut EP, Father Figure. Three of its songs—Subaru, You Look Like A Drunk Phoebe Bridgers and Wlbrn St Tvrn—were re-recorded for MY APOLOGIES TO THE CHEF, the band’s debut album, but their power and potency is in no way diminished. In fact, the rage and frustration that courses through them, and which also infuses the band’s energetic and compelling live shows, feels even more visceral, pointed and necessary than before, something that carries over into the other songs too.
“I feel like we’re taught to suppress our anger,” Coco says, “whether it’s to do with what’s going on in the world or in our lives. And that’s so lame. Why are we so okay with people being sad and anxious, and not okay with people having an outlet to be angry? That just blows my mind. I think if more people were able to be angry, maybe everyone would be a little happier.”
Recorded by Austin at his home studio (“I call it Studio A,” he smiles. “A for Austin”), MY APOLOGIES TO THE CHEF is a wonderfully raw and cohesive reflection on life today that bottles the spirited and cathartic energy of the band’s live shows, as well as the angst and anxiety of being alive. The tone is set immediately with JUMPERCABLES, a catchy indie-punk anthem that’s fun and fiery in equal measure, before You Look Like A Drunk Phoebe Bridgers and Subaru soar with the band’s trademark catchy hooks and choruses. Elsewhere, Swimmer’s Ear balances tender aggression and self-deprecation, Johnny’s Dead is a heart-wrenching tale about substance abuse, and Swear To God That I’m (FINE) is an explosion of defiant self-affirmation. One of the angrier songs on the album, R U FAMOUS, is a blast of powerfully bitter vitriol tempered by humor, intelligence, and nuance.
That balance is something also present in the snarky catchiness of I Think You Should Leave and throughout the blistering urgency of I’M IN THE MARKET TO PLEASE NO ONE, a song about dating abuse inspired by a letter Coco wrote for a therapy session. The idea was to write it, get all her feelings out and then destroy it, but for some reason she kept it. When she stumbled across it sometime later, the band were already gaining ground and the idea for the song was born.
“I found it at a time where people were starting to really listen to our music,” she remembers. “There were a lot of young women coming to our shows and a lot of dads being like, ‘Oh my God, my daughter would love you guys.’ So it felt like the right time to use my voice to sing about something pretty serious. When I showed it to Austin we thought it could maybe motivate people who had been—or still are—in the situation I was in to speak up and speak out and try to get their power back. Originally, I wrote it for me but feel now like it’s a song for other people. And there’ll be these big ass grown dudes in the audience scream-singing it, so I think it means a lot to more than just the young women I had intended it to be for.”
Despite the strength in these songs’ delivery, underlying them all is a raw vulnerability. It’s the band’s ability to overcome that, and the adversity that inspired it in the first place, that makes this album truly special. That comes across nowhere more strongly than on the album finale, DON’T WALLOW. Originally written about the band flyering to promote Johnny’s Dead outside a festival they weren’t actually playing, the song turns a negative and embarrassing experience into a source of positive inspiration.
“It was very humbling,” says Coco, “and a little embarrassing to stand outside of a music festival you could be playing and handing out flyers, but we want this so bad. You should be uncomfortable all the time during this process. That’s how a lot of our career has felt up until this point and I think it’s going to continue to feel that way. If you’re comfortable, you’re not doing enough.”
It’s an attitude that captures Winona Fighter, and this debut record, perfectly.
